Our client understood the pace of change in the banking industry and the evolving needs of its customers in a heavily regulated and digital environment. They are now on a journey to accelerate the speed it responds to the market and gets value to their customers & colleagues.

Opportunity

Support an enterprise wide transition to a combined Domain Driven Design, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and Scrum framework, enabling accelerated responsiveness of technology solutions to core customer & colleague problems. Our client leveraged a tri-part delivery model (Product, Technology, Deliver) within defined value streams to drive responsive & accountable decision making to their ever changing market conditions & customer needs.

What We Did

  • Part of the original LACE (Lean Centre of Excellence), we provided critical advice on agile frameworks, roles & responsibilities, operating models & delivery guardrails.
  • We trained over 5000+ people in the organisations new ways of working, including the alignment to the value stream management toolsets (Broadcom Clarity & Rally), common language, and progressive elaboration approach to work breakdown (including identification, estimation, refinement, planning, build & test)
  • Upskilled new and existing Product Owners, RTE’s, and Scrum Masters in their new roles & responsibilities, aligning to people, process, and toolsets.
  • Migration of 750+ cross-functional teams/squads delivery data from Atlassian JIRA to Broadcom Rally toolset
  • Part of the thought leadership for the progressive elaboration approach & organisational delivery KPI’s, providing a critical feedback loop of the theory vs. the actual implementation, with leadership and teams on the ground.
  • Developed operating model playbooks with alignment of roles & responsibilities
  • Domain and squad coaching support into some of the banks most critical areas, including: Financial Crime, Cyber Security, Data & Analytics, Large retail bank book acquisition & integration program, Corporate & Institutional Banking
